Power in the 'Verse!
words words words, I'm so sick of words

Smokers
Smokers like to see the world
Through eyes bloodshot and gummy.
Smokers like to feel the burning
That invades the tummy.
Litost
by a different name
Governs the smoker's habit.
If a smoker sees a hot brand
He's liable to grab it.

About the blog
The title comes from the television show
Firefly
, from a line that had nothing whatsoever to do with poetry.
Some posts are backdated to indicate original chronology.
Fer cryin' out loud, don't plagiarize!

Jack of All Parades
"I didn't mean to say it
I just blurted it out
You pretended not to notice
Or be taken aback
But I loved you there and then
It's as simple as that"
~
Elvis Costello
